move smses to memory card

i have a symbian s60 phone, nokia 5700.
i have all my messages stored in phone memory. i want to move all of them to my memory card. how can i do that?
when i had changed the memory in use to memory card for the first time, it had displayed a message saying something about copying all of the messages to memory card, but i had accidentally pressed no. now whenever i change the location to memory card nothing is displayed.
is there any software i can use to move all the messages to memory card?

There was one called "msdrive" or "vdrive" or something like that ! Cant recollect!

Regarding your problem,First select phone memory for storing smses! Then use FE Explorer or any file manager, navigate to your storage card and delete the "[Storage Card drive]\system\mail\" folder. Then again go and set sms memory to storage card! This time it will ask you again if you want to copy the existing smses to mmc...Select Yes

there is no 'mail' folder in system.

tried using x-plore, but it doesnt show anything in messaging.

There has to be a "Mail" folder somewhere on your storage card! If there isnt one, then you should get an option to copy smses when you change sms memory from phone to mmc! Try searching in other folders for "Mail" folder!

tried searching for mail folder, nowhere to be seen.

i have received a couple of images in my inbox in storage card to help locate the message folder, but i cant view those either.

are you sure there is a 'mail' folder for s60 v3? i think its for earlier versions v1 and v2.

got it done. :hap2:

transfered messages to another phone N73 using transfer application. changed memory location to MMC on my phone. transfered back the messages from N73 to my phone.

i tried doing that, but while copying the messages back to the mobile it wasnt saving it in the memory card.

some phones have the feature of saving SMSes on the memory card and some don't, if the phone don't have the feature, no software is going to move it to the memory (not in readable form anyways) and if has the capability to move them to memory, you can do it directly, without the help of any software
