Windows Moving 5 year OLD OS/Files to New PC [HELP]

I have a almost 5 year old Sager Laptop and running very fine. It has a SSD and a HDD.
OS resides on SSD and important softwares are installed that SSD.
HDD is partitioned and contains varied files and software installation.

As some know , i am building a NAS with a gaming PC. Most of the stuffs are complete now. NAS will be complete once i get my HDD from fellow TE member.

Now what would be the best practice to move all my files , softwares to new PC(gaming) ? I has NVME 2TB drive and a SSD 2TB drive. Again NVME will host the OS and important softwares. SSD will host games and less used software and files.

I Do have some 5tb HDD lying around.

should i move the entire os/software to NVME or install a fresh and move the backup ..

Can i do it over network , ie connecting both my laptop and pc over ethernet ?

What should i do ?

I dont the specs of your old computer and new computer but the best and safest option will be to go for a fresh install of OS on the new PC, then copy the files like photos documents etc from old to new. You can use either of the 3 methods to transfer data. USB, network or remove old SSD and HDD from laptop and connect it to your New PC. Last method will be the fastest. Network will be the slowest
