Hi guys , i wanna buy an mp3 player for ma sis,she wants to use it in her hostel room, prob is tht her rooms doesnt have a plug scoket ! ! ! .. so cant recharge often... so pref for a AAA battery one wit maximum playback time.. pls let me know,
the one in ma mind is

Amazon.com: iriver T60 1 GB MP3 Player (Black): Electronics

but its not available in India..:-(.. any other suggestion guys?:S :S .

+1 for T60.

It has great audio compared to Ipod,Creative zen stone and other similarly priced ones.

U can get 8hrs with a single battery.

The usability is a bit hard, if u wanna switch regularly between Radio and mP3 but u will get used to it soon.

The Color LCD is good.. no probs what so ever.

u r gifting her a mp3 player rite means she has access to a computer to change the songs and all rite....then usb charging mp3 should be fine....
anyways AA ones r preferable n plus they r cheaper compared to AAA....atleast the duracell ones r that way///
cheerss

she's a medical student, she doesn't have a laptop, she'll change the songs when she comes home once in two weeks or so, i know AA batteries are cheap, but i didn't find any mp3 player using it.. I found CREATIVE MUVO S100 in indiaplaza priced at 1800 bucks, is it genuine pricing guys? How much does it cost in local market? . .

AA holds more than AAA, so goes your playback with lower cost.

Isn't a cellphone with mp3 playback your best bet ?

is this common, it sounds extremely *tight* !!

yup, Its common. my sisters classmates who stay in a locally run hostel have similar issues, they usually charge their phones in college...

I think only chinese mp3 player uses AA battery..

Anyway any other suggestion guys. . . Other than this creative one?

Any other players guys? I tried buying PHILIPS SA 2315, from sify, but the dealer now called me n told, its outdated model n all mp3 player now comes with rechargable LI-MH battery.. :-( :-( :-(
