MP3 player for around 7-8k

I have been using the first gen nano for around 3 years now, pretty much tired of it.

Need to buy a real portable mp3 player. 7-8k. Most important thing is capacity and audio quality. Don't care about videos/games etc.

Capacity is very important, as I will be storing high quality mp3s (converted from flacs).
 
if music quality is your prime concern then go for cowon D2 4gb at 8.5k with sdhc card slot and expandable upto infinity(32gb card is tested).it has one of the best sound in any mp3 player till date.:hap2:

If music quality is important then get a Cowon D2 eyes closed. I got one last month for 10k from alfa (8gb model). Get a nice SD card to go along with. You might wanna invest in earbuds too, Sennheiser CX400 is in the hot deals section for 1250...
 
Options . .
1)sansa fuze 8gb. .It has a card slot for expanding memory. And as said in above post -the d2 or d2plus
2)no card slot ones include iaudio i7. . . Sony a8xx and s6xx. . .
3)if capacity is still limiting . . Check out zune
4) if you got the dough. . Check sony x series. . . Specs are great . . Might get the best sq . . Release was this month. .
that rounds up the list of good audio quality players. . .take your pick:)
 
Hmm, Cowon D2, have to look around. I do want capacity as well, at least 30gb, so is it available in that much?

How does it compare to Classic 30 GB?

cowon d2 available in following options-
4gb-8.5k
8gb-10k
16gb-12.5k
all have expandable slot which is limited only by card available in the market (currently upto 32gb). which makes it 4+32=36gb+touch screen.
and as far as sound quality goes many review rate this 10/10.i personally rate i pod classic 6/10 and cowon d2 10/10(belive me it worth it):hap2:
 
I should say you can go & get D2...they rock man....

& as for the price of cards...they range from 200INR to 3200INR depending on size & make & quality.

I got a Transcend 2gb sd card for my camera costing just 200INR in the month of November 2008
 
about a month ago I bought cowon D2

Cowon D2 4Gb: 8.5k

8Gb memory SDHC card: 800 bucks

total I have 12 Gb memory and this one certainly rocks. my older ipod nano 1G is no match before this one's audio quality.
