Mp4 Player Suggestions...

Hello folks

Im considering to buy a Mp4 player for my sister, but i couldn't narrow down the choices i have. these are my requirements.

a. It has to have excellent music quality (i like bass-midend balanced)

b. The screen could be as good as it can, touchscreen is not an imperative.

c. Tv.Out would be a welcome addition if not warranted.

d. Budget cannot exceed 10k no matter what.
i've considered apple, but she doesn't wanna be the part of the apple crowd. I was looking at the Mp4nation.com nationite players but im a really skeptic about it.

Could anyone tell me how good they good really are, both quality and warranty wise? cuz im gonna get it via kmd so don't wanna spend much RMA'int it back and forth. pointer to the right review site would be welcome.

If any other player u think would fit me do let me know.

P.S the mem size has to be a min of 8gig and screen more than 3 or so.
 
Cowon D2+ , one of the best sounding Mp3/MP4 players. decent 2.5" screen. 8GB should be less than 10k . build quality is also good and it comes with official 1 year warranty .

If you can stretch your a budget and need a bigger screen checkout the Cowon S9. :)

Ya Cowon D2+ 8GB is the best option (except 2.5'' screen)

also it has expandable mem slot..(So you also hav an option of buyin D2+ 4gb and 4gb card seperately,you save a lot)

i suggest buy it with warranty and not from other sources(u never know if u hav a damage)

The players listed on MP4Nation are mostly rebranded chinese players (especially the nationite brand). The sound quality (which is of paramount importance to you) will not be very good. Only if any player has a Wolfsen chip for audio you can expect better sound. I myself own a chinese MP4 so know that the SQ is just passable.
 
Cowon D2 is good choice, I suggest Cowon S9 as she will be very impressed with its looks as well.

Also, if you dont need Touch screen you can also look at Iriver clix...
 
While I wouldn't advise you to get the Chinese Mp4 players due to warranty and build question marks their sound will be very close to the Cowon D2 as the good players on mp4nation.net use the same Wolfson Audio DAC.
