  • Description : I bought this card through a local dealer(who takes care of the after sales service as well) from delhi. Both the challans & invoices have been uploaded. The card is working perfectly. The presents market price is above Rs 14 k ( Although I bought it a lower price:D i.e. before the Rupee-Dollar fiasco )

  • Company official Indian warranty valid/Remaining Warranty period: 3 years from date of purchase (Confirmed it from the seller)

You have mentioned three years warranty but this card has only two years warranty , The original source of this card is SMC international , they were selling it a discounted price , After reading about it in this thread http://www.techenclave.com/community/threads/7850-2gb-vs-660-2gb-non-ti.150078/#post-1842258 i went there to check it out , they clearly informed me that these cards had only 2 years warranty , i even asked them why only 2 years, they said if you want 3 years buy the 2gb version for 14k .


I have even mentioned in the same thread about two years warranty after checking it out

My Dealer says It has three years warranty bcoz MSI provides 3 years warranty for all 7800 series cards. :confused:
 
There was a reason they told me it has 2 years warranty & probably because of the reduced warranty they were giving the discount .

Please wait till monday. I was busy bcoz of festivals/holidays. Won't be selling it without the bill so buyers please do not worry about the warranty.

Why bill from prime computers, didnt you buy from SMC? I was interested but since MSI creates so many problems in RMA a SMC bill would have made RMA easier , can you arrange bill from SMC ? , i dont trust prime.

i bought it from prime & prime bought i from SMC i guess Bcoz only SMC had stocks left at the time i bought the card:confused::D
I have been buying from prime for years now. Never had any problem:)
 
Received the card & having a lot issues with it -

1) I called Digicare to know the remaining warranty of the card , they asked for the serial , they said the card has 1-2 years warranty left ( did not provide exact date) & told me that the card was previously RMAed , i informed the seller , he told me that he had given the card for RMA to his dealer who returned it as he could not find any issues with the card & he has no knowledge of any RMA of this card .

Seller now informed me that he used to get black screen after 15-20 seconds of game play & after changing the PSU it was fixed .

2) I tried to test the card, ran AIDA64 test , within 2-3 seconds of running the test the monitor shut down , the PC was still running , had to reset to get display .
Ran Hitman Absolution , 10-15 seconds in to the game it froze with grey checkered screen .
Ran kombustor , again black screen .

The card is clearly faulty & i want to return it .
 
One more point...invoice says "MSI 7820" whereas the card model is 7850 .... error in bill or incorrect bill?
 
^ The bill does not matter , they provide warranty on serial no & Digicare confirmed that it still has at least 1 year warranty left, but i dont want to deal with MSI RMA , Googling for 7850 black screen i see many users with the exact same problem & it happens in all brands , xfx , msi sapphire etc , its a Hardware issue & i think this is the cause http://www.behardware.com/news/12705/black-screens-and-radeon-hd7870-a-solution.html , this card's import date is May 2012 so likely to be affected with this issue . It happens immediately in Hitman Absolution , i have tried three times to play the game with different drivers & some other software tweaks , cant play for more than 1 minute.
