dont ya think GTX 260 is too old now .. with DDR3 as u get new cards coming up with DDR5 . so it would be better to wait for 4850 X2 prices to coem down to 220-230 $ :-) it will be a good buy then ...as the prices are coming down heavily and newegg coming up with g8 offer everyday ..

^ why comparing simple GPU w/ multi GPU solution, U can never match smoothness.

and 260 is 448bit, 4850 is 256bit. that compensates for DDR3 vs DDR5, end results matter!

If the end results is what matters then HD4850x2 at 240 and 290 $ are surely better buy over this:D

I just noticed that this is the 55nm gtx260 216 SP..definitely a good buy at the price:)

The fastest cards right now..GTX295, HD4870x2 etc are multi GPU solution, and the benchmarks have proved that they scale well with 90 % of the games man , ppl can just say that maybe for rest 10 % game it may not perform that great, but still better than the single gpu solution .

But i understand your point on Performance Per Watt :)...and the 216 SP is indeed a great card for the price considering that you wont have much power consumption issues ..compared to the dual gpu solutions:)

Prices are so fluctuating man ..when u posted it was 214 $..now its 229 $

4850x2 was 234 $ yesterday, now its 249 $
