CPU/Mobo Msi K8n Neo4 Platinum Or Asus A8n-e

they are totally different motherboards ..... A8N-E is is a low end borad where NEO4 is higher segment ..... it depends that u willl need the extra features from Neo4 or not ...
 
i have asus a8ne...but it has a pecular problem with its bios...becos of which system restarts.........
i dont know abt others but i surely wont recommend asus brand ever
 
magnet wtf .. asus mobos are one of the best and most stable among the mass just u got restart problem it can be a lot of causes or maybe ur mobo got it doesnt means u'll hate asus or wont recommend it .. lol
 
The Neo4 is currently cannot be justified as a good buy. The performance of A8N-E is on par, it supports more vdimm and neo4 has slightly more vcore.

But even that is not enough to buy it over A8N-E as there are better boards to buy at the cost of Neo4.

Out of those two get A8N-E. Or if you plan to do considerable overclokcing then Get DFI NF4 ultra D.

Actually if you check up with the key distros of Asus in India and abroad the RMA rate for ASUS boards have actually increased. This does not really speak highly of their quality control program.

Agreed, they make good boards but the last thing that one needs is to keep going out and getting it replaced.
 
The one with black pcb- works perfectly i think!!
Ask rahul- he got the same mobo!!

In fact, touchwood, my dirty yellow coloured A8NE 2.0 works ok for now!!

You have hit the nail on the head.....absolutely...
ASUS uses 2 colors for its PCB, black and yellow...the black PCB boards are generally high end boards, costing more, more features and the build qual is also good...yellow ones are lower qual and hence the probs that may crop up...This is a point that I have stressed on to whoever has asked me (as I've seen it in action) :ohyeah:

the premium being a high end prod. isn't plagued with any sh1tty probs like the A8Ne may have....(A8N-E owners pls don't s**** my n*** over this... It is a fact...and no your board doesn't have to fail....:tongue:

On to ASUS Quality... Quality wise ASUS was/is/will be the best... The PCB color just jutifies the difference between the Enthu or a non-Enthu's board... MSI boards are also good and no denying the fact but when it comes to quality ASUS is the best... Yes It carries a premium on the pricetag...

On to A8N E... Well indian prices doesnt really give a true picture... One should check out the US prices before making a comment on the quality... The prices are almost the same... The reasone why A8N E is cheap here becuase Supply > Demand while on to Neo Supply < Demand so prices are high...

^^ True ! Few months back I also had to RMA my A8V Deluxe and got back a new one, but now it works perfectly (touch wood!).

Though I'd still recommend ASUS for quality and stability over MSI and DFI for overclockability

Yeah but a pal of mine had some probs with asus (same turd yellow PCB) :bleh: , and enthu boards would be expected to have better qual components right??...

I say for asus...go black...:cool2:
