i got new MTNL broadband connection on 4th of jan
i have selected 256k unlimited plan but m getting 2mb/s speed !
i have checked my plan on their site it says DSL_TRIB_UNLTD_256K
do they r going to charge me? for speed as seen in screen shot they r counting my usage

What are you doing wasting your time on techenclave ? Get downloading. And be quick about it. This won't last forever you know :p
 
do enjoy the speed but get it checked that is ur plan really 256 or not?
now don't tell them that ur getting 2mbps:P:P
 
You will get the speed for 1 month.so utilize it as much possible afterwards you might not want use the net because then you would get 256k speed and you would then get bored easily.

1st of all thank you guyz for such super fast reply......

but m pretty afraid because they r counting every thing what i download & i have lost receipt (which they give while booking plan) if they charge me as per download then m gone!

I am using mtnl night unlimited NU849 and whatever i download after 10 pm is not mentioned in their site so it seems they are going to charge your download . Better find the reciept . Do update when the bill arrives . ( Or update before net is terminated )

BTW what do they charge per MB ? I never exceed my plan so dont know . If they charge you per MB then ........

but they are showing 256 unlimited on their site WAT ABOUT THAT?:(:no::huh:
 
My friend is also on same plan, usually get 200+ Kbps.. I just lost the bet on this issue.

He is getting this speed for the last 6-7 months.. billed around 600 bucks monthly. Some real big goof from mtnl..
 
This is a common thing to happen with new MTNL connections. I too got 2mbps speeds for more than 6 months last year when I got a new MTNL 256kbps unlimited connection installed.

They switch it back to 256kbps sooner or later. And no, you do not need to be afraid of any per-MB billing. It is their problem that you are getting 2mbps rather than what you are actually paying for, so no need sweat. Just enjoy those speeds, until they last anyway. :)
 
Dont worry dude..you will b charged for 256Kbps..I enjoyed 18-20Mbps for over 3 months when i first got the plan and downloaded more than a TB of data....enjoy..

we will be getting better speeds since there are confirmed reports that all UL plans are upgraded to double bandwidth(256K-->512K, 512K-->1M etc)

lets hope they do it at the earliest.
 
aare i have downloaded too much
my rs accounts are exceeded:bleh::bleh::bleh:
now getting money for another account....5GB+5GB=10GB day:ohyeah:
