MTNL 3G Disconnects Only Whn Downloading In Tamil Nadu BSNL Roaming. Pls help !!

Dear buddies,

Im using MTNL 3G SIM in for past 1 year. It worked in Mumbai without any problems.

But during my visit to Tamil Nadu, im facing a problem. I can connect 3G in BSNL roaming and have usual surfing without any problems. Problems arise whn i start downloading files. When i start to download any file, the speed goes on increasing to 350 kbps & immediately disconnects. This problem is exactly witnessed for all types of files from all sites. I tried the SIM in some other computers and got same result.

Even im unable to find speed in speedtest.net as whn download test is performed it disconnects immediately whn it crosses 3 Mbps.

I tried the SIM in mobile phones and datacards but the result is same. I recharged for Rs.22 (250 MB) and trying this. Local towers have no problem, as BSNL 3G cards here are working perfectly.

I used the same SIM in Rajastan & Karnataka without any prblms. I came to TN 4 days ago and facing the prblm till now. I tried to call MTNL customer care but its of no use. They even cut my calls continuously.

Anyone know whats the problem is? Is there any solution for this? Pls remember tht problem is when i start downloading and not usual browsing pages.

It looks like the tower or switch which involves in your connection doesn't capable or capped with the limit of 3.6mbps! AFAIK only way is to avoid the disconnection, put a speed limit(<3.6mbps) in your download manager or in your modem if possible.

But here towers are 7.2 Mbps enabled. Local BSNL SIMs are getting download speed of above 950 kbps.
