Hi,

I use a TP Link MR3020 Wireless Router and connect a Huawei E1752 with a MTNL Sim inside it.
The internet disconnects itself after around an hour and a half, this is very irritating as it needs to stay online in the night, can't wake up every hour to reset it.

I'm still in the plan so no question of validity expired. The signal strength is excellent (Easy 2-3Mbps).

Please advise.

Thanks,

Where do you stay, I have also faced this problem before, but then it automatically got rectified, also is they any talktime left, because if not then it keeps getting SMS which aslo is responsible for disconnects

I stay in Goregaon (West), I am not sure of the talktime as this card is primarily meant for connecting to the internet via Huawei modem.
Have to plug it in the lappy to check the sms'es, will recharge worth 10 bucks if there isn't any balance.

On another note, I am using the 2500 for 2 months unlimited plan, so whats the need for talktime? (Am not doing any calls or sms'es, infact the card stays in the modem forever)

@montsa007 : Doesn't the TP Link router handle the reconnects automatically? And are the disconnects happening exactly after half hour or after a specific amount of data was transferred. When I was using BSNL 3G, it used to get disconnected after 2 or 4 GB was transferred.

Btw is the Rs 2500 plan truly unlimited with no hidden data cap? :)

I really don't know if it gets down after a specific time or data limit
Yes its truly unlimited, no crappy FUP or hidden dragons.

It just doesn't want to reconnect! I'll check the settings today.

Actually a friend of mine works for a company who gives backbone services to Voda, Airtel, Loop etc., and he told that "These private players buy bandwidth from MTNL and BSNL, while M and B have their own goldmine of bandwidth, better buy an MTNL connection" so I got an mtnl connection :)
