MTNL 3G Stalling

I am from Delhi......

One problem I am having once the modem connects the speeds would be arnd 200KBps and then after 45 min or so the speeds would fall to 7KBps on torrents the connection would stall and wont disconnect on its own. If it would disconnect on its own then no problem but I have to manually DC it every 40 min or so to get back the browsing power...... using the Huawei E353 modem

I think I will have hard time explaining MTNL ppl this that after every 20min to 40min the internet monitor is still there but no page can opened oranything can be downloaded......it just looks net is still connected but its pretty much disconnected.....

the signal is around -83 to -85dbi....... and settings on gprsppsdel

I am on windows XP...sp2 and have tried the KB925681 it says setup has detected that the service pack version of this system is newer and it did not install

what to do ?

Get a compatible version ofthe os/patch.

I was unable to install this one WindowsXP-KB925681-x86-ENU.exe by THS

I am on xp sp 3 and not 2 sry...I though I was on 2..

your option should be to go a step lower sp2 install the patch and then maybe the sp3 patch.

Yes if you have the sp2 iso.
But that might need a fresh install.
Best method should be if you have a nokia phone then pc suite should pop you up a link to get that patch file.
Select your appropriate version of windows and download the patch file.
This has worked in most of the cases.

I did nt understand how will nokia pc suite help me to patch this on XP sp3 when I am using a Huawei E353 USB modem/dongle ... I do have nokia n73 ??

i meant if you used your 3g sim on a nokia HSDPA phone using nokia pc suite/ovi suite to connect to internet.

then whenever a connection is made there would be a pop-up message regarding the patch file to download.

there choose the correct os then and download the patch file.

hi ok will try with the Nokia Ovi if it can make any change to my USB dongle

this link does not have fixes for SP3 on 32 bit OS it has for X86 only dnt even know now whats happening...

x 86 is for 32 bit os and 64 bit Os is mentioned for x64

Alternately in power setting disable power down settings on the usb controller.

already turned " allow the device to turn this off " unchecked it long time back...
