This software encrypts DNS packets between your computer and OpenDNS. This prevents man-in-the-middle attacks and snooping of DNS traffic by ISPs or others.
I can open that without having to add a 's' from my office connectionFinally got internet yesterday, courtesy MTNL -- started out by checking torrentz.eu, not surprisingly greeted with the blocked message.
But a simple change in the URL [added https:/] and viola got inside and running fine.
There are 2 solutions to this problem as of now:
Solution 1:
1. Go to 'Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center'.
2. Click on 'Local Area Connection' under 'Connections'.
3. Click on Properties in the dialogue box that opens up.
4. Select 'TCP/IPv4' and then click Properties.
5. Change Preferred DNS and Alternate DNS to an open DNS server (eg. 8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4)
If this does not work...
Solution 2:
1. Go to a proxy web browser (eg. proxybrowsing.com)
2. Browse all the websites you cannot access through this browser.
NOTE: Browsing may become slower with this method.
