Since yesterday evening I am facing issues with my Mtnl Broadband connection. I have the wifi Adsl modem DNA A212. The INET light does not come on, on the modem.
When I try to access the router page using 192.168.1.1 then under WAP IP Address: Authentication Failure.
If I try accessing some website I get a page saying
ISP Login Failed
The password is invalid. Please enter the correct password and click APPLY.
Then my user id is already filled in which is something like 2898xxxx@a
And I am sure password is the CA No from the Mtnl bill.
I know the password is right because I went to check usage page using my mobile and it works fine.
Now the thing is that I never ever change the password on the modem ever. It was working fine till yesterday morning. In evening when this issue started, I called up 1504 and the lady at other end told me to hold the phone and she did something from her side and it started immediately (INET light came) and internet worked fine for few hours but morning it again is down with exact same problem.
Anyone knows a proper permanent fix for this ?
Edit: Called up 1504 again just now and the Aunty there says she is getting some sort of policy failed thing and told me that she has taken a note of my phone number and will fix it and inform when it is done.
What is this problem now ?
