MTNL- Mumbai- #1 Bad Service Providers

Frequent disconnection from last 1 month.

Lots of complaint online, all complaints deleted automatically without any "All OK" call from MTNL. They remove my docket numbers from database without confirming with me about service (complaint solved or not).

Finally today I called one Top Person in Local MTNL office & within 5 minutes got call from MTNL giving excuses that I use 2 mb it means I have no problem.

When explain him that there is frequent disconnection/hang etc. etc. he finally agree that there is problem from SERVER (I think when MTNL WORKERS fail to find any fault using their Highest Technical Knowledge they SIMPLY blame SERVERS :P)

Any of you- MUMBI- MTNL user face any such problem? Whom to contact now? Local Exchange Broadband Head blames server..... :@
 
Out of topic, but the best way to 'help' the situation is to switch to some other (preferably private) provider. These Govt. Babus are not going to improve...
 
I hav been using MTNL Triband since 2006....... and so far the only problems I faced were too much noise in telephone line & Dlink routers overheating!!

So I complained to them...... within 2 days my telephone line was changed..... which completely solved the noise problem.:hap2:

Then switched to Linksys WAG54G2....... and since hav had no problems at all :hap2:

With the Linksys avg disconnections rate has changed frm once in 15mins to once in 5hrs:clap: which IMO is not a problem at all.

With Dlink I couldnt download more than 4GB at night........ but with Linksys I can easily download 5.3GB/night

Hope this experience helps in some way!

Same problem experience by other friends too in near by places/city with MTNL.

Changing router may not the last option here as with same router I enjoy nearly 18 hrs continue online (though never download more than 150 mb in a day.)

Other service providers are worst in my city so has no option but MTNL (My Triband Never Linked- M T N L) :@

^^^ works for me too.. i mean in the past 3 years or so must have had to complain only a couple of times and that too becuase they were setting up a new exchange in my area. Otherwise keeping the whole customer service part aside evrthin was basically a smooth going. i mean anyways i dread the moment when i have to call them and listen to their unprofessional way of handling any situations. (i mean some ladies are sweet but lack the professionalism to a large extent.) thankfully i am saved of that ordeal. :clap::clap::clap:
 
its not only MTNL's technical support which does that. Reliance's Wimax support does the EXACT SAME THING.

you call.

they lodge a complaint...

give you a complaint number..

next day the problem still recurrs..

you call..

give them the complaint number..

"Sir this complaint has been closed and the problem has been solved"

me -- WTF?? Who closed it and when??

"Sir we dont have that information. The back-end technical people handle it"

All these guys are the same.. and on a larger industry wide perspective... Customer Service in India just sucks... be it any product or service and usually everyone has a bad experience across these areas 90% of the time
 
I had the same shit trouble with BSNL(which always sucks when comes to Customer Care)frequent disconnection happening .I have to call them everyday to fix it.These government based internet providers sucks.Wish i had other providers in my area i'm stuck with bsnl and cant help it.
 
U r not the only one there my brother. I m using BSNL (MTNL in Metro cities) is giving me same problem for past 3-4 months. I m using same connection for almost 4 years & i never lodged complaints in past 4 years as i have made in past 4 months. They use the same drill asking for problem, name, address, contact no., then made us wait for 20 secs. & says "UR PROBLEM WILL BE SORTED OUT IN NEXT 24 HRS" & still the same.

they should rather says "UR PROBLEM WILL BE SORTED FOR NEXT 24 HRS & WILL GET TO U AGAIN".

And that's not it! They also mention that their CCC works 24/7 but my problem starts from 10:00 PM & goes on. I even called them at 8:30 PM just to check how true they are but no one picks up.

Now i think i know all those so called "Customer Care Executives" from BSNL/MTNL.

May be BSNL/MTNL means something else.

just dont call them. if u have problem just goto the exchange goto the top floors were the senior sit cry a lill bit and problem solved i dont mind going 5 km to the exchange then to waste time on fone.

i got connected on the 1st of september on the 31 october i forget to pay the bill and dey disconnected my lines. i payed the bil land got my fone to work but net they forgot to start. i immediately ran to the main exchange gave sme smile and cries and reached to the guy who some senior did sme thank u thank u sir plzz sir yeh sir woh sir i lied about working as freelancer and i need net constantly and i took mtnl bcause ther the best baki sab to chu**ye bananey key dhandey hain (i literally said that). and after begging he did it so fast that i couldnt imagine that in my dream just 40 seconds and problem solved i gave my name to him and thora maska chaska and all set.

if u wanna live and earn good in mumbai ur tongue has to be trained
 
TBH, all ISP service/support sucks bigtime

Tataindicom and Sify are the worst and TI takes the crown

CC rep - sir, your problem will be attended in 6 hrs
nothing happens
After 2 days, another guy calls - sir, this is confirmation call, can we close the call
i am like wtf
whatever u say after that is waste of energy
 
From today morning Net connected normally & at 5.30 pm a call from MTNL engineer "Kya aapka net barabar chalu hai"

I: Yes

He: To compalint kya hai

I: baraba nahin chal raha tha tab ki compalint hai

He: To ab kya

I: kab tak achcha chalta rahega

He: hamesha

I: he he ... thanks

Idiots... every time will call after everything settled, never call when there is problem. As per MTNL if you use a single byte it means "Net Is OK" (Discovery by MTNL- Mumbai)... lagey raho MTNL bhai :rofl:
 
Its not always the mtnl fault!

The roads always are getting dug up somewhere or the other as if they want to spend the whole of BMC's money on roads :@
 
Emperor u r right. Even i got the same calls from them & gets same answers. It's demeaning to make a call because u get same answer all the time.

And on top of that when u say that net gets disconnected in night, they say that u can call us 24/7 on our helpline. This is a govt. organization & there is no domestic Call centre that keeps up for them all night. What help is there?
