125.RS PLAN 256k-2M 150MB FREE DOWNLOAD ...0.90RS/MB above 150MB
250.RS PLAN 256k-2M 1GB FREE DOWNLOAD ...0.90RS/MB above 1GB.........i clocked bill of 1.5k with this :mad: n other month3k:mad:
(actually 15day of month....n other months 8days upto which bil of 15.5K came)

500.RS PLAN 256k-2M 2.5GB FREE DOWNLOAD ...0.90RS/MB above 2.5GB n 2AM to 8AM UNLIMITED .
750.RS PLAN 256kbps fixed UNLIMITED .
so BSNL seems good over here.

i thought ,MTNL would have excellent plans for MUMBAI ....as its TRADE CAPITAL .

Well the ISP walas are making the most of being in TRADE CAPITAL ..

After all, Delhi hasnt got Only the Red Fort and Parliament to show off ;)
 
tata mtnl ans sify and local cable ops are no good for mumbai

i am using hathway 128 ul for 400 rs and its 450 inclusive of tax

for 3 months its 1123 Rs inclusive of tax and free modem install.. this is good only for surfing though

for my downloads i am w8 for airtel to enter thane city circle... they have bean playing in outskirts of thane...assholes have a broadband office for thane city in my area for last 4 yrs but don't provide internet service
 
i have 749NU plan so, it doesnt affect me in anyway, i am happy with my plan.

Coming on to the MTNL mumbai`s sucker rates, Why dont all you mumbaikars start demanding for a separate country or something then you can have your own telco.

very seldom or maybee none ... u always get 800 - 500 basically "less than what u actually need, isnnt it ???" its called SETTLEMENT / COMPROMISE .
Same way there is no point and no chance of MTNL reducing the price of their scheme in MUMBAI even if u ask for it or fight for it . cause

1) The ammount of money comming out of mumbai us enourmous and they wont leave it.

2) The MNTL Triband subscibers in mumbai are more than they can handle. cause there are already more than 3 -4 months waiting list for many.

So there is no chance of any promotional schemes entering Mumbai.

we have one of the cheapest telecommunication industry and have one of the most EXPENSIVE broadband industry

Its high time now we shud stop talking about dropping the existing SHITTY plan rates by 100 - 200 Rupees and think BIGGER !!!!!!!

U dont see the catchline here friends !! .... MTNL is not reducing the price of Mumbai Broadband cause they know the demand is already high here .....

We shud just hope that some High sector companies like Reliance take advantage of this Demand. and launch some good plans and speed .....

Untill n unless there is no COMPETITION in the Broadband market ,CONSUMER wont enjoy fruitfull things :hap2:

just as what happend with the TELECOMUNICATION department a few years back and still.... when Giants like ORANGE,AIRTEL,RELIANCE,IDEA,TATA ....etc etc.... were trying to beat each other with Chepest call rates !! and now Consumers are enjoying.... :)

so stop craving for 100 - 200 rupees drop and thing big ! check the above thread (link posted) CAUSE IT WORKZ !!
 
Well you have to give credit to Mtnl for Delhi , there was no competition here , it is they who got things moving , 3 years ago sify came and started 256 kbps UL for some 2k or something airtel came and started it for 1.5k , MTNL first reduced it to 999 then 799 and now 599 (with 100 calls) . I have just got my plan changed to TRiB_UL 1299 which has 512 kbps U/L with 500 calls which is a pretty good plan , but obviously they should hve uniform plans for delhi and mumbai , BSNL has same plans for the entire country (even the remotest corners) so why not MTNL
 
well,its kinda very right....you have 0 days waiting line for braodband in delhi,you apply today and you have MTNL peeps at your doorsteps within a few days.
 
Maybe going to a consumer court will work. But who will bell the cat for a year since it will take atleast a year to dispose off the case, of course, the case won't run infinitely. The favour will be in the consumers favour. And many things work against the company. Old subscribers still pay 599 but new ones are charged almost 50 pc higher!

Not at all dude, Im in south delhi and there was over a month or more's waiting list, i had call up my uncle working in MTNL to get a port. :mad:

but after the call i got connected the very same day :D
 
we can't really blame mtnl, they are just doing their business, it's not like it is bound to give the same rates to mumbai subscribers as delhites, or may be the mtnl bosses are all from delhi...but srsly, how can they just loot mumbai like this!

let's have a poll on this, which city has more triband subscribers, mumbai or delhi

using RTI, we might get the real number of subscribers mtnl has in each city, the profit it earns from each city etc and then we can use the media to raise our issue, I'm quite sure there would be a lot of people helping all of us out from mumbai...
 
We are paying 4500 for 512 Kbps at our office.........

This is not fair as no other Service provider is avail and we have to buy this plan. And we soon will be shifting to Leased line due to the monopoly of ISP by the local cable walas.
