MTNL Triband blocking Mobango.com ??

I have faced this issue earlier and recently faced it last weekend. It seems mobango.com has been blocked by MTNL triband. The connection does not even attempt any sort of initial connection. Just Problem loading page for it. :S

Anyone else on triband facing same issue ?

I have faced this problem but with multiple site. The issue seems to be with the DNS that MTNL uses. Switch to OPENDNS (in network connection properties) and you should not face this problem. Atleast thats how my issues were solved.

I'm on Open DNS and can browse Mobango (or for that matter, any other site) perfectly well.

I never use MTNL's DNS, use the google dns servers 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.8.4. Refer the link below for more info.

not necessarily. you can ping some location and see which is responding fast (lowest ms)

Ping doesn't necessarily mean that MTNL's DNS would "process" our request faster. Its perhaps the slowest I have ever used.

Try opera in turbo mode if the site is blocked by the isp.
It worked for me fine.

Using reliance GPRS/EDGE connection and accessing mobango.com gives me...

"This site has been blocked as per instructions from Department of Telecom (DOT) ."

This does not happen when site is opened but when i search something on the site.
