MTNL Triband Combo new connection problem

Hi,

I applied for a new MTNL connection last week for a triband combo plan. After my several visits to MTNL office finally 2 guys came to do the installation yesterday. They placed the telephone instrument without any connection. When I asked them about the wi-fi modem, I was told that it will take around 15-20 days for getting the modem. Is it the standard process followed by MTNL? I'm really doubtful about from when the billing will start.... I need an internet connection urgently, I'd be thankful if someone can guide me about the steps to be taken to escalate this matter.

Nothing can be done.You can make avisit to the loical MTNL office of your area and can request JTO to solve the problem.

Or else one other way is to keep the area lineman happy by paying him some bucks.

You can also purchase ur own modem if u wish.
 
maybe after the connection, just install your own modem, now just because of the modem they might be delaying, you just have to tell them to go ahead with the connection & set it up.
 
MTNL has serious issues with man power and infrastructure.Its the only ISP with 8 hours of Customer service ..that too if you are lucky enough to get hold of them in that period. they manage to make the broadband cx's happy by giving 2mbps speed :P well that's why i m quiet....
