I am residing at Malabar hill mumbai and since today morning i have a lot of issues with my triband connection. Earlier this morning, i had an issue where everything was working ok but, my net would disconnect every 40 mins or so and would resume again. Latter on, in the evening about 5 pm i started getting massive packet losses. I pinged my router 192.168.1.1 no issues, but i ping any website like www.yahoo.com then i had packet losses.

I have called MTNL on 1504 they say its a line issue, is any1 else facing the same pls reply
 
This is not limited to MTNL or the metros alone. BSNL too is being plagued by these issues over the past few days. These nincompoops need to hire some good network administrators to sort out the messed up routing for them. Really horrid browsing experience.

i am in mumbai too

massive internet issues today

packet loss, disconnections and even extremely high ping.....its all happened today

it has settled now for what i hope is the end of it

As i understand its not me alone then others in mumbai using mtnl triband have issues too, those mofo's at 1504 made me register a complaint at 198 for connectivity. I would reccon others in mumbai to post too pls, it helps one accertain the issue where ppl from mtnl sux at customer support.

does any1 else have it, the issue seemed settled for the larger part of the day and now back on since 9.45 pm, packet losses galore, called 1504 they ask to call at prabhadevi dunno seems they jacked up somewhere
 
yup.. looks like MTNL has a major prob.. im thankful there's basic connectivity but the speeds are slow as f**k and sites stutter.. or just dont load till u refresh them 10 times..

looks like it's a DNS issue but i'm not too sure..

streaming content is FUBAR
 
Im not having ne issues ,im using MTNL UL 749 plan,very rare downtimes,i had only got a downtime for like half an hour today,and my connection is like 3 months old,and service is very good,except sometimes while playing dota i get dced 10% of the times.
 
I was having intermittent disconnections for past 3-4 days... Lodged a complaint and the issue seems to have been sorted out.

I even got 3 calls and 2 messages from them saying that they had addressed my issues!! :P
