I am currently using EXATT at my office but the downtime and sucky speeds aren't funny. Even after repeated requests, the provider hasnt been able to provide me with speeds that can suffice 15 ppl using the net in my office.
I was thinking of getting MTNL Triband since thats the only other provider in my area.
I had a few questions regarding TRIBAND, which I couldnt get a straight answer for from the extremely tech-savvy MTNL customer service.
If theres anyone using TRIBAND and can help me, please reply...
We are currently using a VSNL e-mail address (as in xxxx@bom2.vsnl.net.in).
When I shift to MTNL TRIBAND, will I still be able to get POP3 access to the VSNL server through MTNL ?
What i mean is, currently the exatt provider has given us an outgoing IP which we have to put in our outlook express settings which allows us to send mails. Does MTNL provide any such IP, basically does it have a Outgoing POP mail server.
Since we've been using this mail address for a long long time, we are not in the position to switch over to any other mail address just for mtnl.
Secondly, can i USE a WIFI Router with MTNL ?
At the moment the direct line from the exatt provider is connected to the wireless router and a patch cord is connected from the router to the hub which shares the net connection over my lan, will I be able to do the same with triband ?
Any other disadvantages of triband ? Whats the uptime like .. whats the response time like incase theres any fault etc.
