I don't think it is your router issue....

Have you tried contacting their CC .... their number is 1504...call them and report your issues.

And hide your IP and other stuff from your first screenie as well....

can the mods pls delete the unmarked screen pls...ty

@pranav

i know m8 to me it seems a line issue more then router, this all started monday when they went about upgrading speeds for every1

Connections is very flaky today. FB is barely opening, although torrents seem to be working fine...

It's been wobbly for the past 3 days for me now. I can't peak at 240KBps download at all. I was planning to shift back to 1Mbps UL scheme from tomorrow. :(

It's clearly a bad line. Your SNR is pretty low and ATT very high. Have 198 attend to it, 15xx won't be able to help. Try switching your modulation around and see if anything changes.

Here are my stats in comparison, they're not the best either, but about acceptable.

Yes try switching your modulation yo ADSL2+...

Once I also had switched modulation and had got better results....Temporary Solution!!

arr

switching to adsl2+ makes no diff, i am on g.dmt the best, secondly on adsl+2 the freequent disconnection happens every half a minute. Today i called prabhadevi and spoke to the Principal Landline and Broadband Mumbai and she said that this will be attended too today so lets hope for the best

@vishalk
MTNL's plans always mention a speed of "upto xx mbps" so the speeds can vary a bit. What you can do is complain about your line quality etc.
Unlimited Plans

It is very rare to get speeds less than your plan but it might happen sometimes. I have never encountered such an issue so this will be temporary. If the problem is due to your line condition then you can complain at your exchange in the old fashioned way, if a call to 198 does not solve the problem.
Give them a written complain and talk to the person incharge of triband/internet issues. Get an acknowledgement/xerox of the complaint with the date stamp and signature of the person. That way you have a proof if things need to be escalated. The xerox will merely ensure that they work on your case on priority. Stay calm but firm while talking and avoid any kind of threats of disconnection etc. I had to do this once and talking face to face with them got my problem resolved soon.

Also keep screenshots of the modem screen with the date/time as a proof of the problem. You can use these to get you bill recalculated if you can prove that their service was not as advertised. Anything related to bills goes to the "Accounts Officer" though. That person might not be in your local exchange, more info is available in the bill itself.

All this will require some leg work so if you don't have the time, keep trying to get this resolved via 198 or call your nearest CSC to get some contact numbers of your local exchange.
CSC Locations

Last option would be to switch to another ISP. Suggestions regarding that are very specific to your locality.

-edit-
since you have the contact of the person in-charge in Prabhadevi exchange, that is the best way forward.

ok update

got them to come home and they did something with my line

heres the new image pls tell me how does the router look now with these stats

^^ This looks much better...I guess you have nothing to worry....:hap2:

so far so good however, lets see how long does it sustain coz they showed me a fault in the wiring in my home which i very much suspect is not but nevertheless u never know it just could be it.

however, i still donot have 2mbps started 6pm which they said is set for all and should so i guess i should tell when i get a confirmation call regarding my complaint.

wanna thank every1 that helped guess sometimes i help some and some help me back, that really sums it all, 2 heads are better then 1.

Where did they show the problem??From the line coming to your phone....or the line going from the phone to the Router??

In any case you can ask them to fix it for you....

And yes do tell them about the renewed plans...Check what they say....The plans started from 1st,November 2011, so might take a day or two, i guess

It is always like this...you help and you get help....

Its you Line Attenuation that's the problem and its quite high and because of that probably you are facing frequent disconnections, your router is fine.

Line Attenuation refers to your telephone copper wire connection quality, lower is the Attenuation better is the signal quality.

Hi,

the fault was on the line that came from the main splitter to my bed room where it was having problems was where the concele panel in the wall was, they have disconnected that wire and re-done and connected it and i have posted the shot of same above.

I did speak about the new speeds, he said thats something the server ppl will do and he can't do shit about it, so i gotta call prabhadevi and speak to them but i dunno if the dsl 1333 plan is eligable for the new changes.
