I have migrated to the mtnl DSL unlimited 1599 plan from the NU849 plan.

On the mtnl website it states the account created on 1 Jun 10.

When i go to the usage page it shows me that i have used close to 80GB already.

When i use to have the NU plan .. I could not see my usage during the free hours.

My question is ...is it normal to see your entire usage on the mtnl site?

If yes, does mtnl use this data against you?

Its got me a little worried

As long as the usage site shows your plan as an unlimited one , it doesnt matter . And yes it records all data

It records all data in UL plans, don't worry.

I think in NL plants too, you can view your session wise details to view all data, the site just shows your non-free data amount on the front page.

I am just feeling a bit paranoid about this as at this rate i may dload 200 GBs in a month and afraid that if the mtnl guys see that they might do something about it.

Why would they do anything ?? You pay for UL plans and you have every right to use their connection 24x7. Also the percentage of people using the entire bandwidth full time for downloads and all is quiet less so they really dont care much about it.
