MTNL woes

Ok i got this new 512 ul..bt since morning my connection has been disconnected like 10 times.. its just for like 5 mins...bt its very frequent...
error message

Primary DNS cannot be reached.
any idea whats going on ...anyone facing the similar issue...
 
^^ Do you have parallel telephone lines in your home ? If yes then try disconnecting all of them except the one where your modem is connected and then connect and observe the results for an hour or so. That should solve the problem.

MTNL suggests that the main line that comes to your house should first go into their modem and later on can be distributed to other parallel lines in the house. I too was facing similar issue as i had 5 parallel lines and had to disconnect (remove from wall socket) all of them except the modem one to make it work. This I did as rewiring was not possible in my house.
 
Strange,Iam also on 512Kbps UL Plan and having 3 parellel lines excluding 1 primary line which is connected to the router

And my net connection doesn't experience disconnection at all
 
well right now i just got one phone for namesake...its just incoming and i have removed the rj jack and voila no disconnections....i wud try to connect the phone back...bt why this issue didnt happen earlier...?? its day 3 for me on mtnl :bleh:
 
yo the issue is the stupid phone....soon as i connected my phone....damm its off ...exclamation mark on network adapter....so i guess i to find a resolution to that....
 
I suppose you must be having the splitter right ?. Main line goes in splitter and one of two output lines go in modem and another in phone. That should do the trick if the same is not in place right now.

yea thts the same setup i got....bt just today...i had the same issue again..the net disconnects for abt a min or so and reconnects back again. i changed connection box which was pretty old thinking tht was the issue..also i was thinking of changing the phone wire itself ...the one tht comes from the box in my building till my instrument....do u think tht is the issue...
