MTS launches new Android phone 'MTag 401' with bundled data offers for Rs. 8,999




MTS has launched a new phone called the MTS MTag 401, which is their new flagship phone which they are selling with bundled 3G data as well as on-net calls. It has a 4 inch capacitive screen with a resolution of 800x480 with a PPI of 233 and it runs Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). The phone is powered by 800 MHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 Processor and has an internal 1700 mAh battery. It also has a 3 Mega Pixel camera.

Other features excluding this include, CDMA EVDO Rev A (DL Upto 3.1 Mbps), WiFi 802.11 b/g/n and a-GPS, 170MB internal memory, 256MB RAM and expandable memory up to 32GB with bundled a 2GB miucroSD card in the box. It comes with MTS TV app with Live TV with more than 100 channels and also the YouTube app.

The MTS Mtag 401 is being priced at Rs. 8,999 and comes with a bungled 3G data package with the phone (1GB a month for 3 months) and also local MTS-to-MTS calls (150 minutes per day for 3 months as well) for both postpaid and prepaid customers. MTS is also planning to launch a 7 inch android tablet running Froyo Android 2.2 with similar features like bundled media apps and free data usage.
