MTS Mblaze.... Hows the speeds?

Hi guys, new to mumbai and just called up the MTS service and they offer me Modem+1 month UL connection for 2000 and next month onwards 999 per month for UL usage. Now my query is regarding the Speed they gonna give, its mentioned 3.1 mbps.. surely not gonna give me tht speed i suppose for tht price.. Pls share ur experiences .....Also if im opting for any other broadband like airtel or reliance , how much time will they take me to give connection and how much they charge for installation and activation.. Pls help..

I already have Huwaei E1550 ,( Idea net setter Unlocked one) but MTS is CDMA connection rite?

I have one at Indirapuram (NCR).

Speeds i get? Around 50 - 70 kbps (that means 8-9 kBps). Worse than dialup connection of Mughal Era.

Stay away from MTS.

I am going to get MTNL 3 G soon.

IINM their UL plan says that speeds will be capped to 144Kbps after crossing 15GB FUP limit.

MBlaze -> They have reduced the FUP tp 12GB now!

Yup.. the UL 999 plan has an FUP limit of 12GB, after which the speeds come down to a paltry 144kbps. Speeds vary according to location; I constantly get around 1.5mbps to 2 mbps speeds. And yeah, it is CDMA.
