Hi,

I am starting a new office. I was thinking of getting an all in one printing / scanning / copying / fax device. I looked at various models of HP / canon multi functional printers. But can't differentiate between the different models.

I shall jot down my requirements:

1. Low to medium budget: ~5 K (can be increased if someone can give me the reason to)
2. Low maintenance and good quality.
3. Laser (or is it too much to ask - is there noticeable difference from and inkjet?)
4. Would like to know the price difference between an equivalent A3 and A4 device.

The device is needed for basic operations. However I might need to print maps occasionally, so will need decent resolution of colors.

Also, scanning should be good quality.

Laser colour printers would be costly. If speed is not a problem, then go for an inkjet printer. Select from any Epson printer which use 73N cartridge or Canon printer which use PG-821 and CLI-820 series cartridge. Details available on their India website. See the features list and select as per your requirement. Canons are slightly costlier than epson but is a better choice. dont go for HP as the cartridges can be costly and refillable only a few times.
 
An all-in-one laser printer in that budget is not possible. Cheapest would probably be 14-15k+.

A3 printers would be nothing less than 30k.

Difference between laser and inkjet? Operational costs and printing quality atleast in black and white I find the laser quality to be superb. Cheapest color laser (stand alone printer) would probably cost you 9-10k.
 
Can anyone suggest what is latest good AIO Inkjet printer. Have read some good reviews for MP-145 Cannon but its outdated now. Which Inkjet AIO printer should be bought within 5K which can easily be refilled as well or have a cheap catridges. Sorry for hijacking but please this is ver urgent, I need it in office right away.
 
I have a epson tx111 all in one, bought for 3k , i am happy with it , refillable and compatible cartridges are easily available in nehru place and ebay.

+1. Epson Tx111. Bought for 2750/- from lamington road in April. Bought refillable cartridges off eBay. Refilled 7-8 times already !
 
I too recently bought a Canon MX320 printer for my office. Got it for 6.5K. has print/scan/copy/fax facality. Has decent resolutions for color printing and cartridges are refillable.
 
I bought my printer about two weeks back, I have not faced any issue of ink level dropping by switching on & off, my color cartridges showing as 100% full as i have so far only printed two color pages and i have swiched on/off more than 10 times.
