CPU/Mobo Multiple questions - mobo, cpu, GFX

guys,

two questions -

1. which is best proc (for overclocking off course ) -

P4 2.4c
P4 3.2e
2. which is best mobo for above proc -

Asus P4P800-e delux
Asus P4GD1

as i already have 6600GT AGP so p4-800 delux shold be good choice but i can take 6800GT / x800xl PCIe here so i am tempting for P4GD1.

can anyone advice me which board should i go for.
i want max overclock as this time i will be in india for 1 month so i want max R&D on it...

what you thik about 915chipset (p4gd1) and 865pe(800delux)..

please dont advice me AMD as i will take it but not now...
i just dont want to spend too much in a system which i will use for max 1 month. so please help me ragarding processor and mobo...

which combo will give me best performance... ( specially graphics ) and best overclock also....
 
as you already have a pr 2.4c, just get the p4p800 mobo. very good for overclocking. should be able to reach 3-3.2 ghz with a good heatsink. but make sure your ram can handle it

havent used the 3.2e so cant comment on that.

and as for the chipset , i think the 865pe is better than the 915 cause it has no graphics chip integrated on the northbridge. should perform better for overclocking

dont u think 3.2e if i overclock at 3.6 or more than that then it can beat 2.4c overclocked when it comes to 3d mark 05 or any heavy game..

well i have 4 x 512 MB Hynix DDR 400 but i dont know it is D43 or something only CL 2.5 is written on it. will it support max overclock as i will fix XP-90 on processor and zalman VF7000 on GFX card..

and how about this combo - p4800delux with 3.2e??

yes buy p4p800delux with 3.2e you can overclock to 3.6 or 3.8ghz :cool2:
 
Why are you buying a new rig for just 1 month. Get a cheapo rig and then upgrade to a good one later.
 
yup, i suggested the p4p800 and 2.4c cause you already have the processor. so no point in getting a 3.2e now just fer a month
 
@avi..dude...if u get a p4p800e anywhere..do let me know..i have given up searching for it in hyd.
i have a 2.4C too and i need to OC it badly:cry:

^^^ hahaha..I empathize......Thw way freaky puled your leg over ur virgin non OCed 2.4c , I can understnad how strongly you would want that mobo

see what is my plan -

as i already have 2.4c and 865GBF - not bad combo so i will keep the system as it is with running 512MB and spare 80GB as one extra system.

Now i have decided to get 800delux with 3.2e with XP-90.
i am purchasing 800edelux in tokyo here and if anybody intrested then i can buy one more but you need to wait coz i am coming in mid of december.

p4800e delux - 4800rs. how is the price?
3.2e - 5000 rs.
XP-90 costs me - 3000 rs.
Zalman VF700 costs me - 1350 rs.

can somebody tell me the prices in india for these things..

do let me know if anybody is intrested but remember i am taking brand new mobo but with Jap warranty. if anybody wants international warranty then it costs more. and i trust jap people as well as i wont be using that system for more than one year or so...

and smith - i know how you feel to have 2.4c and no overclock.. i was taking this combo just for overclock and i will take it to its max limit...
let me try if i can buy water cooling as it is not so much expensive here...
 
Those are some nice prices, you have there. I am out of touch with the Intel proccies, but wasnt P4P800 a Socket 478 mobo, and 3.2e an LGA 775 proccy ?

Those are really good prices for the proc! The 3.2E is about ~ 10K here. Since none of the dealers seem to have a P4P800e on them, not sure how much it costs .

XP-90, Zalman VF700 arent available in India. The XP-90 price is kinda on the higher side (Rs. 3000 ~ 60$)

There is a 3.2e in both Socket 478 and LGA775
