Mumbai TATA ul connection and Torrent+Port blocking

Hi,
i have a Tata UL 512 connection and run U-Torrent. As long as i am downloading a torrent i can upload, but whenever i try to just seed stuff it tells me that the port is not open with this error message
"Error! Port 46029 does not appear to be open"

i tried different ports, but get the same error.

How do i solve this?

try bit comet .. that was the only thing that used to work for me when i used tata

also download version 0.70 anything after that sucks
 
hmm.. no such problems for me... using utorrent 1.6 on tata 512ul... no problems with seeding and initial seeding of torrents...
 
since i have the router i can open up a port if required...so i havent faced any problems so far....

OT : only problem i have faced is that when i host a TeamSpeak server no one can join my server...but if use the connection in dial-up mode(no port blocking by default) ppl can join my server...can someone help me solve this?
 
ohhh...that would explain it, metro ethernet something right?

These ports are blocked at TATA's end then, cause their routers are setup that way, and I don't think metro ethernet guys get TATA DSL in their areas....do they?
