Please help Me !
My 500GB Seagate SATA(3-4 months old) and 80GB Samsung PATA(4 years old)
HDDs going to be dead ?.....:(

I think since both the hdds are affected at the same time the PSU must be the culprit.. Just bin that crap and get a good PSU like the CM 350 or corsair 400. If you feel this is an overkill then you can go for FSP saga which i think retails for 1.5k....
 
Should I take my 500GB Seagate 7200.12 to the service center.
They will take my HDD ?
Cos its running OK.....

I did not get any warning yet.
Just saw the health on HD Tune.....:S
 
hey i was also facing the same problem man ....

i changed my PSU to CM extrem 460W ... now i dont get that warning :)

i suggest you to go for nice branded PSU like CM or Corsair
 
i did not get any warning from Windows.

I got Corsair VX450W now but I think the HDDs are already damaged.....:(

So,what to do now ?
 
if you value your data more than the hdds , beg borrow steal or buy some other hdds to temporarily move the data n start moving the data in order of priority should it die while ur copying.

then RMA these drives to get a proper working drive
 
I have written data on DVDs.
But,will they take it for RMA cos u can't find any problem except hdd tune.
What will be my reply if they ask what's wrong with ur hdd,its working fine here...
 
You cant just reset SMART Data, just take it to them, they will replace it. If it shows health warning/failed, then your drives are in danger, get em replaced ASAP.

you just need to take your HDDs to service centre. They will check your HDDs serial no. to ensure your HDDs are in warranty. Please carry your bill.

They will ask you a problem and take the HDDs to RMA. They will give you a chalan and tell you expected time. You have to call them before going to take HDDs to ensure your HDDs have arrived.

I did that.

The test failed and I found that it got warranty still may 2013.

Now a page came and asked for "Shipping Address".

But,I have to take the HDD to the service center ???
