It started with my friend bringing his laptop over for a few movies transfer . To start that i plugged my ipod in and went in to explore mode . as soon as i go in there i first notice some folders that i had never seen before . i had loaned my ipod couple of days ago to my friend . So i asked him if he had put those there . he said he had created one only for a cd burning software but did not recognise the other folder . suddenly out of no where "Warning!!! Virus Detcted " cried my Avast Free Antivirus . turns out every folder structure had an application in it by the same name of the folder with a folder as its icon . ( see how its misleading and would invite clicks on it ) so it was a w32.Brontok or something . so i used idump and made a bakup of my favorite videos , mp3 , saved it and restored my ipod to factory defaults .

That was my harrowing experience .

this is just F.Y.I.

take it as experience :P

thats a typical windows virus....imo a pain to remove....

all my college pc's have that visus and subsequently they r pretty easy to get transferred to other pc's

it also hides all known extensions and hides all hidden files even if u want em the other way round when u open that file
