get 2*160 gig hitachi's is what i suggest...
cause the 160's outperform the 80's...
anyways 2 HDD's r always better than 1, whichever u buy...3 r better...this is what I use on my top sys @ home...
2* 160 gig SS SATA's (RAID 0)
1 * 200 GB maxtor DM 10 SATA

I have software and windows and all my programs on the maxtor

Games, stored DVD's encoding stuff on the raid array...

Very fast...

lol @ vandal. u should make windows softwares n games run from the hdd that has raid 0. whats the point of keeping it on the maxtor.

& i wouldnt suggest purchasing a maxtor hdd.

switch brother thanks for the processor is effin fast loads windows within 3 secs LOL

Don't go for a maxtor unless its DM 10....(not DM 9)
stay away from Seagate....a POS from past experience...:bleh: some may disagree...

Anyways Hitachi's r good and Samsungs also OK, warranty very good....and WD caviars r also OK...
personally

Hitachi T7K 160....

If u want SCSI..you'll need a daughtercard...
One of my buddies got a 32 gig cheetah...heats up...and less storage..costly...those r the 15000 rpm ones...

U want faster go with an 80 gig raptor....available here...

x86, upload the image to imageshack.us and take the thumbnail link from there :bleh:

Anyways, x86, i dont think 15000RPM Drives are readily available in India.

A 80GB costs around 200$ in the US though.

yeah one of the alienware systems ships with a chunk of flash....Its costly, very much so...so dada....my suggestion is keep with the good ol 3.5" available OK??:P

there is one gigabyte flash storage device ..... it was around 100US$ AFAIR ..... anyways after that u have to arrange the memories ..... if u go with 1GB stick u can have 4GB staorage as it is having 4 DIMM slots or u can have 4 2GB stick ...... but it will be quite expensive :)
