Finally managed to get my rig under water cooling :)

consists of

Gigabyte 3D Aurora case

Swiftech MCR220-QP radiator

Laing D5 Pump

AquaXtreme MP-05 Limited edition CPU block

DangerDen Maze 4 GPU block

2 x 120 mm noiseblocker SX-2 fans

The case cost £90 and the components for watercooling cost just under £200. The radiator is external, but mounted to the rear of the case, so it is fully portable.

A few more pics:

I get idle temps of 31*C and load temps of 38-40*C on the CPU. 29*C idle and 41*C load on the graphics card. My graphics card is now amongst the top 5 on the ORB for its class in all 3DMark except 2001 :)

Managed to push my opty to over 2.9 GHz stable on water :)

What do you think? :)

Please forget where the pump is right now...i havent been bothered to drill holes in my case yet lol

Congrats mate. temperatures look nice under Load :hap2:..

Try Chilled water too once :D...

Push the overclock up now :D.

wow congrats dude   :cool2:
post some pics of the radiator ;)
goldy
Chilled water ??

Thanks for your support and comments guys :)

I'll post pics of the radiator when i get back from school (will be leaving in about an hour).

I think i've reached the limit of the chip and wont be able to go much higher. SuperPi 1M takes over 1.6v at 3 GHz and i cant do pi at over 3.07 GHz even with 1.66v.

I'm happy with a 1.1 GHz overclock for 24/7 use at reasonable vCore :)

thats really gr8 processor u have :) ..... anyways where u live buddy i an see temps -3*c on weather widget do u really need water ..... lol

Awesome!!! Rocks!!!

We seem to have a another die hard overclocker to give competition to Darky, DJ, And funky..... Congrats!!!!

And those GPU temsp rock!!!

And top 5 in ORB?? you mean for X800 series??

i think he lives in UK.

@Kitt, Great work mate, that is the fastest dc opty on TE afaik :hap2: Time to post some benchies :D

@Rahul, kitt's from Blackburn-UK.

Excellent overclock there KITT.
Nice numbers you got there.
Your numbers are pushing me more towards getting a WC setup...lol

go Darky GO!!

hehe, excellent OC there Kitt, so ur running it at that speed 24x7?

Well, what do you mean why Limits?

Limit is the Temperature your CPU goes too :P.

You dont want an Opty going over 50 Degrees Celcius on Load :).

not only temps GF.... As I told you before :P

Each CPU has a particular speed beyond which it will just not go. At 1.6V, my Winnie is max 39 Deg C. But still ,it does not remain stable at 2.5 GHz.

So, temp is not the hurdle. The CPU is a dud. It will just not OC beyond 2.5 ghz stable
