Finally managed to get my rig under water cooling
consists of
Gigabyte 3D Aurora case
Swiftech MCR220-QP radiator
Laing D5 Pump
AquaXtreme MP-05 Limited edition CPU block
DangerDen Maze 4 GPU block
2 x 120 mm noiseblocker SX-2 fans
The case cost £90 and the components for watercooling cost just under £200. The radiator is external, but mounted to the rear of the case, so it is fully portable.
A few more pics:
I get idle temps of 31*C and load temps of 38-40*C on the CPU. 29*C idle and 41*C load on the graphics card. My graphics card is now amongst the top 5 on the ORB for its class in all 3DMark except 2001
Managed to push my opty to over 2.9 GHz stable on water
What do you think?
Please forget where the pump is right now...i havent been bothered to drill holes in my case yet lol
