Storage Solutions My seagate 7200.12 : write speed drop

Hello ,
Just a month ago I got seagate 7200.12 1TB HDD .
I got copying speeds upto 90mb/s when I transferred data from my old HDD's to this one.
But now a days , when i copy downloaded movies from My documents to Movies partition , i get copying speeds as low as 28mb/sec
What could be the reason??
I have OS installed on same HDD ...

Could be fragmentation.. Also check if it has reallocated sectors in which case read/write speeds drop...

You can use HD Tune to check HDD status...
