I know you guys dont need to justify your actions but few things

@all the other members-

It is not the mods duty to be polite to the regular offenders who keep on repeating the same mistakes.

If the member finds it really difficult to adjust to the rules of the forum and constantly keeps on breaking them, then I am firm on what I said. He can leave.

This was totally uncalled for. Accept our terms or get out of here? and u guys say this is public community. I am here from god knows when, looking at all the things happening. I dont normally say anything to these things but decided to write today. And just for the records, I dont know Ad1tya. I dont know what went behind the scenes or what happened between Renegade and Ad1tya. I just want to tell u guys this - From a third party's point of view it has looked really harsh!!! So no matter what u guys say today, it looks as though TE is going down the line of Dictatorship of the guys who hold power rather than living as friends with the members whose sole purpose in registering in this community is about tech knowledge and sharing.

@ Renegade - I have nuthing against u and I dont care much about whats between with u and Ad1tya or what happened between u and Ad1tya. What i said is strictly my perspective. I am pretty sure that my views are very similar to others around but they dont want to come out in open probly coz they dont want to create a scene or they are too afraid to open their mouths here fearing u guys.

And hope this is taken as an actual feedback rather than thinking that I am flaming against the mods or the rules. Just to re-iterate i have nuthing to do with the mods, TE or the community. I feel like i am member of club so I am telling my views unbiased as, in this case particularly, i dont know either the mods or Ad1tya

@ Adi : Dude ... chill rey ... taking virtual life too seriously i guess , u have a beautiful gal ... go out n njoy , dnt worry about TE. They basically dont care abt urs or anybody else's opinion for dat matter so dont bother. Thats the reason i don't post here much , haven said that there are some rlly cool members here logging in for whom is worth it IMO :)

dude post something like this on XS and see what happens! rules are there for a reason.. you follow them or you dont.. simple as that

So u r saying XS is above TE? or better than that? I am talking about TE presently so let the topic be regarding TE
 
To everyone else.

A piece of advice. Try to stay out of other people's complain thread.

Today also multiple people replied without knowing clearly why this action was taken.

Upon messaging them all they understood what was happening.

Dont jump on guns blaming admins and mods when you dont exactly know why things have happened. They are not bunch of trigger happy fanatics waiting to ban someone.

There are always two sides. If you post in the heat of argument, you are harming your own reputation and making fun of yourself.

Tell me how many of you knew of the facts stated on 1st page. And replied just after reading adi's post??

If you want to be the part of community then learn to follow the rules.

TE staff has actually been too lenient till now. Others wont care even if you have 100000 posts and glorious member by reputation. XS banned their own mod when he broke the rule and flamed fellow mod and posted private conversation in public.

Thats how strict so called great and bigger communities are.

Its said correctly that cut the weed before it grows too much. Here mods took a soft approach. And some people always try to take advantage of it. The time will come when even mods will snap. They are humans.

And for the love of god stop making silly posts and jokes here. This is not funny matter. Maybe for some people its thread to make even more nuisance. But dont get yourself into trouble over nothing.

I totally understand your perspective and am really open to feedback. That line may seem harsh to many, I agree. But you have to see that almost none of you fall into that category.

However some members keep on repeating the same offenses. Now you dont expect us to tell them in writing everytime. Its very clear that they are doing it on purpose. So that means they give a damn about the community. If that is the case then I guess its fair to ask them to leave.

Everyone is here to share the knowledge and have a ball. I guess that can be done within the limits of few simple rules. Please dont see that as a dictatorship as it was aimed at members who just cannot follow simple rules of the forums.

The rules are there for the smooth working of the forums and to make our lives easier. Not to restrict other members from enjoying the experience. We cannot allow slackness coz that would breed many more similar cases and then people will start pointing at each other. Making our job even worse.

Now if the regular members feel that I was going overboard by saying that then I apologise. To incite fear and stomp on others was not my intention. I am sorry for those words and take them back. All I ask is to understand the context in which it was said and not take it literally.
 
This thread has really cleard out some of my doubts about sig rules etc, thank you Renegade, Funky for clearing those out.
 
@mods - Understood.

@ Renegade -My post was not intended to get any pubic apology from u. Just wanted you guys to know whats going on in many of our brains and the general consensus of community. If u have the right reasons then who am i to ask anything.

@Funky - Got ur q but i needed to do this as a member and ofcourse no more posts from me on this thread.

I dont get annoyed. I do sometimes, but not here. was 'making a point' in my earlier post. Expected a fiasco to follow, n it did. Was trying to clear things n avoid it. Peace. :)
 
I hope the issue is resolved and no one else has anything to add. If you do, you can PM me your feedbacks. I would be more than glad to take them up.
