Hey, I just had a terrible RMA experience with them and I wanted to share it. Consider these factors before you buy a ashapower controller.
1. They have a single service center in a t2/t3 town in Kerala. When some thing goes wrong with your controller, It'll take at least a week or 10 days to send it from a town in North India to their service center.
2. They are not proactive about any thing at all! So, Once it's delivered to them you have to check in constantly to figure out if it has been repaired. Otherwise, They'll keep adding 1-2-3 days delay at every step.
3. My controller was repaired on 4th, I paid the repair costs and asked them to create a return shipment with Delhivery. Despite asking them to do this on 4th, They did this on 6th. Now it's 9/10th June and the package has not been picked up. The customer support staff lies constantly and I mean constantly every single time you call them about why it has not been picked up. Today they said they attached a wrong size label so it was not picked up, that they have fixed the problem and it'll be picked up today and that did not happen.
4. There is no escalation matrix when things go wrong like this and 0 accountability on any one's part when they keep screwing up. I emailed the CEO about this 5 days ago and he doesn't respond to emails nor does any thing about it.
I sent the controller to them on 10th May. It took 10 days to reach them. They started the repair process on 23rd May and then they repaired it by 3nd June. This is peak season when you actually need solar controllers because of all the power cuts but they do not understand that at all. Ashapower charges a premium for their controllers, yet 2 of them were damaged under normal operations. Despite it being a premium product, the repair service has been so bad that I will never buy another product from them again.
