Hi Frnds ,
Last Saturday only I have purchased a RIG with Quad core and a GTS250 gaming card.
earlier when I was discussing the same with few of my frnds, and some on the tech forums, I came to know that people have misconception for the animation. They often suggest rigs, that are suitable for Games, for the animations also :@.

According to them, Gaming Rig may compromise a little on CPU, but the PSU and GPU should be solid. This is true for games, but believing that the same will be suitable for animation/rendering is not correct .

As Animation S/W requires CPU and RAM to be good enough to tackle the processing and memory. Gaming card here comes the third with PSU.

I am currently doing more research on the same topic and let you guys know about the same as soon as I get anything relevant.

Comments are welcome :S.

:)

I think you are right. Rendering will need more CPU cores with faster clock speed. GPU should come third after CPU and RAM.

so you guys dont know about the render engines that are going to come out which are going to be all GPU dependent? iray , vray rt , arion ? if not you should google somemore

Ohh, may be I can move, but I think it is suitably fitting here also...

Anyway, I ll request the same to move this to some other relevant discussion title.

I 'll do some reading and will be back soon.. :)
