Tell me a decent arcade-ish PC racing game

Just to give you an idea of my preferences, I like stuff like the Burnout series....I can't stand those simulation games..real driving is enough for that....
 
i would recommend NFS: MW and NFS UG2 - depending on whether you like to race in the night or the day... :)

Star Wars: Pod Racer (or something of that sort) was a good racing game when it was released IIRC, maybe you could check that out too..

And there's always road rash :P
 
Played NFS II and NFS MW..

Need something (for a change) where I can bask in some eye candy too

Will be running these once in a rare while on my HTPC setup

IIRC, NFS MW does have decent bit of eye candy...how bout the new one in the series...NFS Pro racer or something

And install a N64 emulator and play MarioKart 64. :hap2:

i use mosty but TDU take long time around 600 miles so long you can track the maps :P
 
Okay, here's my recommendation - which you will love.

Juiced 2 !

Total fun game with random babes and lots of tuned cars and tons of eyecandy on a high end machine. Go crazy with the tuning details available and the sheer FUN part of it. It even has an MC shouting out details just like in an arcade game.

Pair up with an Xbox 360 controller for complete addiction. :) Am on it right now, and damn it is funnn!

Dunno, seemed pretty arcade-ish to me. At least it is much more arcadey than the previous Colin McRae games. Maybe you play at the higher difficulty levels?
 
You might feel its dufferent as it has some arcade favourite races it it unlike previous versions which were purely WRC stuff.
