my old nokia 6270 had been giving a lot of problems ..so exchanged it for a very sparingly used N73 Music edition from a very good dealer friend :P

but the thing is i am totally new to this S60 platform. and its taking some time getting used to.

ive seen friends boasting about the softwares available for the S60 phones..

so thought of trying some apps out there.

there might be a lot of N73 users out here ..;)

so can you guys recommend some really nice and helpful softwares(freeware as well as paid ones) for music, movies fun etc..

and maybe even some themes and games.:hap2:

thanks .

head over to dotsis.com or mobilecastle.biz

tons and tons of stuff. pick whatever you like. :P

softwares i have installed on my phone:

opera mini - must have

google maps

advance device locks

activefile and xplore

mobiola webcam

salling clicker

why do you need a software for music? the music player built in is good enough.

same goes for video, realplayer does pretty much the job. but for avi and divx youll have to look at some other apps.

okkkie ..thanks both of you :).

by the way is S60 v3 and Symbian OS 9.1 both same ? thats what N 73 has right .?

which softwares are better 260 v3 or 0S 9.1 ..*confused*

To be pedantic, S60 is the user interface, and Symbian is the OS.

A similar analogy in Linux would be KDE 4.0/4.1/4.2 are User Interfaces, while the Linux kernel 2.6.20 is the OS.

Of course, in Linux you can change the UI or the kernel anytime you want to. With the mobile phone, you are stuck with whatever version of UI and OS your manufacturer has provided.
