My N82 served me very loyally for an yr since yesterday, suddenly my cell is not responding to any key input from my Handsfree/headset WH 701 & HS-43 but sound comes from both earphones. I tested my handsfree on another n82 and other models and it is working fine. Still other models 3.5mm handsfree are having same issue with my cell now, the calls cannot be cut and nor the volume or tracks could be changed.
Apart from this my N82 is working fine.
I backed up my cell data and hard and soft formatted it but the issue haven't gone.
i went to nokia care and they analyzed and quoted me Rs.5270/- for replacing the board. WTF??
There was only issue with 3.5mm jack. But they said it cant be replaced as other components can get damaged and chips may fell. :chair:
Those people simply are illiterate like computer noobs. Simply install new OS when anything goes wrong. Thus they dint found what was wrong and simply advised me for a board change.
Yesterday i got the problem solved in just 200 bucks. Went to a local repair shop and they simply cleaned the dust and carbon inside the jack and voila :cool2: now my cell is back on track. Thus i would say now all is well and nokia care is a shit hell!!! Atleast for people whose cell is out of warranty.
