Guys,
Need your help to think this through. Am sure lot of us might be reaching/crossed upper thresholds of hdd slots in our machines. I am looking at a low maintenance NAS box with 4 bays to be able to put in 1.5/2 tb internal hdds in order to store all media on it and help me plan my storage needs. The ready made options I saw were netgear and some other brands...stupidly expensive at abt 20k plus.
This forced me to think about a atom processor mobo combo with a cabinet and smps no moniter no dvd no keyboard solut...
But I think atom mobo combo doesnt support more than 2 sata slots, and I need as much as I can, which is atleast 4. So I was thinking about a low end AMD athlon would cheapest.
Pls help me with your perspectives and ideas.
