NAT problem wid my "Web distributor 2 Yozan"

hey ppl
im havin airtel 256kbps broadband connection.....
im not gettin satisfactory dload speeds in my torrents..
i have a "yozan web distributor 2 "
my "azureus" shows a NAT error.. n i never get a green smiley...whcih is to indicate the dload is goin on perfect...
cud someone help me fix this problem..

The Web Dist 2 is a crap modem....

(i think its' the USB modem right?)

Call up CC & tell them u want to work in a linux environmet & want a modem that supports port forwarding .

They will give you a "220BX ADSL+ modem"..



get the modem & follow the port forwarding guide in the Guides section..:)
 
eh... i'm a total newbie to tech stuff..

just interested in knowing things..

cud u tell me why this modem wud b helpful for a linux environment. ?

^The usb connection modem does not have the drivers to run in the linux environment....or any OS other than win9X/2000/xp

(not even any 64 bit OSes)

the 220bx on other hand does not require any drivers ...it has option to use with USB ot in eth port...

USB is not recommended for obvious reasons..

When the modem is used in eth port..it acts like a plug & play device..so itll work in any OS where u can use the Eth port..:)
