About NBA Playoffs:
NBA Playoffs are four rounds of competition between sixteen teams in the Eastern Conference and Western Conferences of the National Basketball Association. The winners of the First Round advance to the Conference Semifinals, and the winners of the Conference Semifinals go on to the NBA Conference Finals. Finally, the champions of each conference face each other in the NBA Finals. Each round is a best-of-seven series, played either in a 2-3-2 format, meaning the first two and final two games (if necessary) are played at the court of the team possessing home court advantage, or a 2-2-1-1-1 format.

The Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy
About the Trophy:
The Larry O'Brien NBA Championship Trophy, hand-crafted in sterling silver with a 24 karat gold:hap2: overlay, was designed and manufactured by Tiffany & Co.The trophy, comprised of nearly sixteen pounds of sterling silver and sterling silver with 24 karat gold overlay:wow: . Its stands at about two feet tall & crafted to resemble a basketball net. A single rod extends from the base to the ball, giving the appearance of a play in motion. The regulation size sterling silver and vermeil basketball rests along the rim of the net. The trophy is created each year in the Tiffany & Co. Silver Shop.The NBA Championship Trophy was created in 1978 for the National Basketball Association and renamed in 1984 in honor of the late former NBA Commissioner Larry O'Brien. Larry O'Brien was commissioner of the league from 1975 to 1984 and was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in May 1991.
