I am looking to buy 2.5" 500GB USB3.0 hard disk..but i cudn't find much options in USB3.0 space yet.plz let me know what all the options i have in USB3.0.

and i dont want 2 buy seprate adaptor for usb3.0 support..it should be bulit in hdd itself

Thanx in advance.

Not many options you've and almost all current Hard Disks need the adapter thing you don't want or have a proprietary connector from the external HDD to the standard USB point + you'll have to pay a fat premium for the cable itself ~ 1.2K - 1.5K <per cable shocking price>.

The only HDD that comes to my mind right now for your purpose is the Seagate GoFlex ~ 3.5K + 1.5K <Bangalore non-inclusive taxes> GoFlex | External hard drive | Portable hard drive | Desktop Hard Drive | Backup Files | Seagate

Hope this helps.

IMO I don't know about Buffalo RMA but there have been sporadic reports of difficult RMA on WD HDD's (even after they having a door-to-door service, just weird) HDD not returned for months, one of my friends internal 1TB Green Edition took three months to get back to him after the low level guys couldn't figure out what went wrong and were reluctant to forward the piece for a through examine to their Delhi labs.

WD RMA is painfully slow... Don't know about Buffalo but its my guess that its through dealers/distri. & no servicing is possible.. Actual users or dealers can confirm this..

oh..WD RMA sounds really horrible to me...m even more confuse..should i opt for slow and painful but reliable rma of wd or should i give a all new try to buffalo..it could be better then WD or even worse.

btw does anybody know about price and availability of iOmega eGo??it seems the best among the USB3.0 lot according to this article.

Which USB 3.0 Hard Drive is Fastest?
