Need 2mbps or higher speed unlimited connection in Pune

I have recently shifted to Pune and currently I dont have an internet connection.
I am looking to take a new internet connection of 2mbps or higher speeds with unlimited usage.

I am staying Bavdhan, and afaik Airtel does not provide service in the DSK Ranwara area.

So guys please help me to choose an ISP.

I an looking to spend something like 3k for a good connection (the lower the better).

My main usage would be 24/7 torrents and MP gaming.
 
I think you already are using the mtnl 3g UL right? Whats wrong with that.
Wired broadband in the country of ours are plain silly. You might get a better faster option from a local isp though.
 
2mbps truly unlimited at 2599+Taxes - Reliance , I see no other options than that

Speeds are capped. Who wants to use that?

The only problem with wirless is the high ping which is bad when playing MP.

Anyone knows any local ISP in Pune?
 
BSNL's n/w is not good in pune especially in the yerwada area... People over there use airtel connection even if it is expensive but good service. .

I dont know where u saty hellgate, haven;t heard of that area but try gettin in touch with the cable operator an ask him if he provides net... Usually they always do...

I am on that very plan in Hyd. The only issue I have is that their local DNS server seems to be flaky. Every so often, it stops working for a couple of minutes and any new page requests may time out. Other than that, Speeds are pretty good for downloads 240~265KBps and occasionally there are times when the speed doubles for an hour or two.

Can you name one service provider whose CC is good. I had never found one ISP whose CC is worth talking about.
 
Stay the hell away from Airtel. They've got a 2Mbps plan for Rs. 1799/- but it has a shit FUP limit of 40GB, after which it drops down to non-broadband speeds of 256Kbps!!! In your area, even Tata Indicom's reliability is shit. Dunno about Reliance or BSNL though. Hathway has service in your area. You could check with them. Not sure about their high speed plans though.
 
^^^ had checked out the Htahway website and it seems that they have a FUP of 20GB after which the speeds drop to 256kbps.
Looks like its either Reliance or some local ISP.

BTW, you can try You Telecom if there is availability. They are really good. BTW where exactly is your place.
