What will be your primary usage for the notebook be?
Professional: Mainly surfing web (8-10 tabs are open- FB, Twitter, Linkedin always open), pdf files (4-5 files usually), Microsoft power-point (3-4 ppts designing always on). Usually all of these are open and working simultaneously.
Entertainment: Youtube (One tab of the browser is youtube - almost always open).
No gaming/ No photo editing/ No video editing/ No programming/ No (heavy/light) spreadsheets.
What size and weight considerations do you have? (e.g. Do you want a 17" desktop replacement or you want an ultraportable 12" or something in between).
Anything ultra-portable. Preferably 12 to 14 inches
Any brand that you prefer, or any brand that you detest? (e.g some would prefer to stay away from Acer or Dell)
Nothing in particular. Post sales service should be easily accessible.
Any other considerations? (e.g Battery life; Widescreen/non-widescreen; Glossy/Matte screen etc.).
Of course, who doesn't want a long battery life?
SSD preferable. I don't mind selling off the 500GB/ 1 TB HDD and replace it with 256 GB for some extra money.
2-in-1: I want a convertible - into tab.
Touchscreen.
