Need a camera! Budget - 20k

Hey guys. .
My friend needs a good camera in less than 20k price tag. .
Please recommend me the models which seems to fit in his budget. . Size doesnt matter but the quality does
I was looking forward to the canon s5is but it is priced at abt 20k here. . So any good deals with the model are also welcome. .
He wud not like to get it imported unless it has some sort of international warranty. .

^^ As far as I know the S5 IS is less than 20k. For a budget of 20k, go for the Canon Powershot G9 for about 21k. You can buy it online from here - Indiaplaza.in : Electronics - Cameras - Canon Power Shot G9 - 12MP & 6X Optical Zoom

Or if you don't want to go over budget and want something that will give you the same quality pics at a lesser price, then go for the A650. It has the same sensor and lens. However the G9 has a bigger LCD monitor (2.5" vs 3") , a better flash and an option for an add on flash. But otherwise there isn't any difference. Pictures will look the same since the sensor and lens is the same.

Sadly this is true, confirmed the price with multiple shops in Delhi and even JJMehta, funny thing is, FZ50 is priced at 22k with bill!

Canon Digital Camera Price - jjmehta.com, don't buy the vendor warranty crap if you want to rely on the warranty.
