CPU/Mobo Need a config for a budget of 25K

My friend is taking a new PC within this week.Budget is 25K.He want the best config available for 25K.

Right now we are planning for this config

1)AMD Athlon 64Bit 3000+ Socket 939 Venice E core - Rs 5700
2)Gigabyte GA-K8N51GMF-9 - Rs 4000
3)Hynix 512 MB DDR-400 RAM Revision 2 with 2-3-3-5 latencies - Rs 1,900
4)Any good looking cabinet with 350W SMPS - Rs 1200 (350W is enuf for him)
5)80GB harddisk SATA Seagate - Rs 2500
6)ViewSonic 17" E70B Monitor - Rs 4900
7)Liteon Combo Drive - Rs 1800 ( He dont need DVD writer)
8)Altec Lansing ATP3 2.1 speakers - Rs 2700
9)KEYBOARD + MOUSE - Rs 500

Total - Rs 25200

Now he is unable to decide which mobo to go for
He dont like ASUS .:tongue: .Very low features like 5.1 and no TV out bracket support.
Now he has 3 choices
1)Gigabyte GA-K8N51GMF-9 - Rs 4000
Its southbridge tends to heat a lot.But has good features.Can someone tell will we get TV out bracket free with this board.
2)MSI K8NGM2-L - Rs 4200
It has got many good reviews.Rock solid.Good features.And can someone tell will we get free TV out bracket with this board.
3)Gigabyte GA-K8N51PVMD - Not available
6150 chipset.Good reviews .

Out of these three which one should he go for considering price to performance.
He wants motherboard which comes with TV-OUT module.
Or suggest any other motherboard suitable for the config and should have all the features and importantly should not overheat the processor.

My ASUS A7V400-MX MOBO temperature is 62 at startup even after putting arctic silver 5 paste.:@ I also hate ASUS.:clap:
 
Ahem ^^

There are some very good ASUS Boards around for 939 Socket. Some even in your range. ASUS have good build quality mostly. Also if your mobo has heating problem make sure u get a ventilated cabbie. 62 deg is ok.

For TV out u can get a good PCI card or AGP card i guess. Any of those boards would do. MSI and GIGABYTE are both good boards but for 939 i think u should seriously check out ASUS. :)

Let the TEchies tell you better alternatives now. :)
 
^^ Asus's low end mobos, atleast according to personal experience ( friends + relatives comps) have loads of issues, the build quality aint so great. The after sales service though is better then the rest. Personally speaking, I would prefer MSI boards in lower and mid segments.

I know ASUS suck

but are they better than MSI and gigabyte.

ASUS have a good warranty service.

tell me which model to go for considering the price to performace ratio.

MSI K8NGM2-L is my choice.ANy user of this motherboard here? they can post the CPU and MOBO temperatures at full load.

And is this the best config?
 
If you want a cheap mobo with decent performance, get a foxconn NF4K8MC-ERS. Has all you need and available for <2.5K I believe. Add a 6200TC for another 2-2.5K and its better than any of those integrated solutions.

Is it avialable for less than 2.5K chaos ?? if yes where ??

First of all hard to find foxconn here.And warranty support will also be bad.

Then also see the budget its 5000

and then u suggested 6200TC card .TC models suck they have 32bit or 64bit memory address on GPU.

Man please suggest a good onboard motherboard for socket 939 .:@

No, it does not have a TV out bracket.

Atleast the one I have does not.

A 6200TC is equal if not better than an oboard 6100/6150.

Dunno much about the foxcon board though.

I would rather suggest a Biostar/Krypton Geforce 6100-M9... what say ?

Then which model has TV-Out bracket ?
Cna we purchase TV out module outside? WIll it be avaible for that particular Motherboard model ?

Can you post your CPU and MOBO temperatures ?

Any 6200TC card will be faster than 6100/6150 onboard no matter whether they are 32bit or 64 bit. Also you get your TV out for sure. Where do you live? Foxconn is easily available in bbay and are really nice boards for the price. Way better than low end asus/gigabyte crap. If you want to go onboard, get the MSI board. I don't think any of the ultra cheap boards have TV out.

EDIT: CPU temperatures do not depend on motherboard... If you are getting high cpu temps, most probably the thermal sensor is inaccurate. Just touch the HSF with your hand and check... if it actually is 64 degrees, it'll be burning hot. If its cold, its guaranteed to be a misreporting mobo.

Foxconn m/b would not require frequent warranty service as compared to the cheap stuff from others. they are much more stable and reliable.and surely the dealer from whom you purchase will take care of any warranty issues , if any.

@ chaos, yes i agree that onboard sensors are either faulty or the software code to interpret the readings from the sensor is faulty in majority of cases of misreportings. but you have to consider this "freak" scenario too. that if by touching the h/s we feel it lukewarm, but the temps reported is high then it means the h/s is not installed properly. heat is not been transferred from the core to the h/s efficiently.
hence the h/s will feel cold / warm but the actual chip temps would be much greater.

CPU temp is 40 degrees C & MOBO temp is 33 degrees C.
But, mind you, this is in a micro-atx cabby with no fans other than hsf running.

Thats a great suggestion.Buying a seperate GPU will definitely improve the PC performace a lot and low load on CPU while playing games.:ohyeah:

EDIT :Yes just when i start the XP when i check the temparatures , it shows 60C.What the hell is this ?

This problem started this summer.Previously temperatures were 50C at start up and maximum 60C.

There is a huge difference in just "placing it correctly" and having a "good Thermal Contact" for efficient heat transfer.

True... but this dude says he used AS5 ;) so I'm guessing he knows what he's doing :D
 
^^Yea i agree, the 6200 TC is at about twice as good as the onboard 6100/6150, and the onboard eats up more RAM than the 6200 TC(depending on how much ram it has onboard)
