Between 37-40k you can have one sweet system

Asus K8n 5.5k
AMD 2800 5.5k
512MB DDR 400 2.2k
80GB Hard drive Segate Cuda 2.8k
xfx 6600GT 11k
Cabinet with SMPS 1.6k
52x CDRW 1.5k
17" samsung monitor 5.8k
Creative 2.1 Speakers 1.6k
Optical mouse + Keyboard 700
38-39k

well i am sorry ,do different agp cards need different motherboards?if yes which one would go with PowerColor ATI 9600 Pro 256 MB?

^^ All the new mobos with an AGP slot will be able to support that card. BTW if you havent got that card, don get it. There are much better options available now.

pci-e,geforce 6600gt for about 11250

agp
getting a radeon 9800se or rdeon 9600xt should be your best bet with agp else with pci-e you can consider 128/256mb 128bit geforce 6600 though it will lose heavily to the gt and the further investment may make you happy.

9800se?!! wats the point? its 128bit

a 9600pro is better than a 9800se
Nope, a unmodded 9800se is slightly better than a 9600XT. Also there are two versions of the 9800se one with 128bit memory and the other with 256bit memory.

ok...but i ended up buying a 128bit 9800 and am sure even a 9600pro wud be better(i got around 11k in 3dmark 01 ..after that didnt bother to benchmark it again..a 9600 xt wud get something like 12-13k isnt it?)

Synthetic benchies dont mean a lot and dont take them too seriously. Chk out the frame rates during games. I am +vely sure that it shud outrun the 9600XT. Also chk out Omegas drivers for unlocking the additional 4 pipelines to extract more performance. Btw this is going offtopic.

Stick to Geforce 6600 GT anything below that is not worth it IMO..
If you are investing 10k it would be foolish not to buy the GT for 11.5k..

hello again folks! about graphic cards for my pc ,how about Ennyah Digicolor GeForce FX 5700 ,i am planning to buy amd 64 2800,80 gb Hdd,mobo confused, agp u help me,512 mb ram, samsung 17" monitor .Sorry I could not buy XFX u recomended cos iam really tight on budget, any other suggestions about agp around 8k mark, and about mobo, please help me.
And thank u for u'r suggestions.

You only considering Doom 3 ? As ATI's performance is not so great for Doom 3, but its much better then FX series in D3d games that uses shader intensive gfx.

The digicolor fx 5700 is a very decent card.Only issue:no ramsinks on backside.Doesn't matter if u dont want to overclock though.
If u r getting it for <7k it is quite good.
Consider a 6200 though-better in DX9.
