Need a good mp3+FM speakerphone around 8k..

Guys, i'm thinking of dumping my ol' samsung c200 for a new phone..my budget can be stretched to a max of 8k..the things tht i'm looking for strictly in the new phone are mp3 and fm..a loud speaker phone so tht i dont miss calls anymore..(i'm fed up of giving excuses for not taking the calls)..:no:
a megapixel cam wud be added value but not a must... also, expandable memory is what i'm looking for..i can only ditch this one in case the phone has 256mb or more inbuilt memory..

i've done a little bit of homework myself..but still i need ur expert advice to narrow down to the best vfm phone..

which one of these do you think wud be the best buy..also feel free to add ur own suggestions if i've missed out on any models in this price range..

SE W550i ( fm+mp3,gr8 speakers,256 mb mem, 1.3 mp cam)
SE Z550i (fm+mp3,mem slot, 1.3 cam, dont know about speakers though..)
SE W300 (fm+mp3, mem slot with 256 mb card, vga cam, wot abt speakers? )
LG Dynamite 200/300.....is it good?? Pls tell me the price..
Samsung SGH E 250 ...ur comments on this one..
Nokia 5300...

Which one of these shud i go for? i was thinking of SE W550i..it has got gr8 stereo loud speakers...also the cam is decent...the only flaw seems to be the lack of mem card support..also i dont know the exact price..will it fall within 8k?Wot about the others..pls help me out...will be buying in a few days..only waiting for ur suggestions..:)
 
IN mkt. section one Guy Sell his 6 month Old K750i with waranty and for Rs.8000/- go and grab it. None of Phone choose by you can defeat K750i.
 
The Nokia 6085 and SE Z550 are prefect in below 8 K range..

but for getting a decent Headset + USB Cable + 256MB card would drive the cost to about 9K + .... so wont it be better to buy something lik W300i wid a 256 MB card + Grt Headset + USB Cable - a bad screen....

if u can go a little higher... a Nokia 5300 (i dont trust the slider here), Nokia 6233 or SE W700i ...wud be approx 11K... with good features...
 
I think Samsung X700 and SE Z550 are the best choices in this range, although the Samsung might be Rs. 500 more but it's still worth of the money. Stay away from SE K750i which has Joystick issues.

Errr..i dont want to dabble in second hand cell phones..i've had a bad experience with seconds..twice over..so..this time, i'd prefer a new one..:)

Yeah, it is a good for the bundled stuff it comes with..but of the z550 and the w300, which wud be better? Also does the w300 have a good inbuilt speaker for ringtones? Btw, why do u say tht it has a bad screen..on the spec sheet it says 262k screen..? Does the z550i have a better screen?

Btw, can anybody quote me the price of SE W550i..i wud love to go for tht phone simply because of its twin loud speakers..i'm even ready to live with the 256mb but only if it falls anywhr around 8k..is it??

Also the Z550 is quiet good...but i have no idea about its speaker...does it have a good ringtone sound quality??Those who have it pls let me know..pls tell me the price if possible too..

Also is the LG Dynamite 300 good?? It seems to have all tht i'm looking for..but i've not heard much praises about LG as a phone maker..wot say?

LAstly, I came across 2 samsung models..the E250(slider) and E690(clam)

both have almost same specs except for the form factor..any suggestions about these?

the W300i has a screen res of 128X160 ...
Z550 and W550 are 176 X 220...

I personally dont like the W550i as its designed for Europe and seems has not got the noise cancelling Right as its not required in Europe.. but in a crowded city it can be bad.... depends from person to person...

If you are concerned about the speakers ...get the Nokia 6233..
its 11K has stereo speakers... grt speakers...
240X320 res screen + stereo headset + 64 MB card...
but Mini SD cards are pretty cheap ....so shud not be a prob upgrading it...

Well, i wud have loved to buy tht phone but its way beyond my budget..got other things in mind for my pc at the moment..n thts a bigger priority..so cant shed a single penny more than 8.5k...:(
Okay if not for w550, is the z550 a good alternative..cos it seems to have all except for the walkman tag...does it have good ringtone sound quality?? Also, dont know about the bundled stuff tht comes with it..any idea?? cables, mem card size, head phones etc?? Wot about the price??

Didnt hear a word about the lg dynamite 300..is it a good alternative??

And icefusion told me about the 6131..i'm counting on it too but dont know the price..will it fall within 8.5k??

Pls help me out guys..no one in my friend circle has any of the phones mentioned here..so cant get much information..i'm solely relying on u guys..
 
Most of the phones you mentioned wont fit into your 8K budget. The Z550i would seem to fit but the M2 memory which you'll have to buy will cost a bomb. The W300 and W550 will be around 9.5 K.

The K750i that was up for sale here that Stick was mentioning was reduced to 7K AFAIK.

I'm afraid to touch a LG as I've heard some horror stories about their unreliability and their battery hunger. The LG KG200 will fit in your budget not the 300.

The Samsung E250 is a real beauty. Friend of mine bought it 2 weeks ago from Alfa for 7 K including headset et al. All except the memory card which cost just Rs. 800/- extra for a 1 GB. Passable music quality and only a VGA camera. But very cute. I saw the black one.

The Nokia 5300 wont fit in your budget but a 5200 will.

Finally, do take a look at the Moto SLVR L7 and the Samsung X700.

The X700 will just about squeeze into your 8.5K extreme.

The L7 has a VGA cam but the L7e and L7i versions have a 1.3 mp cam and might just fit in your budget. Very slim phone.

Hey thanks buddy..btw, i'm getting the w300i for 8.6k from alfa, vile parle,mumbai...everything seems good except for the screen....i dont really care much about the cam but whn i compare it to z550, i am totally confused as the z550 has all tht there is in the w300 plus a gr8 screen and a 1.3 mp cam for lesser price...the thing tht is missing out is the mem card...

btw, any idea how much wud a 256 mb m2 card cost?? will upgrade to 1gb when the prices come down..for now 256 wud be enuf.. :)

I'd stay away from motorola L7 as it doesnt have fm..(not tht i'm an avid fan of radio..its just tht i'm getting it in other models for the same price..)

The samsung e250 looks cool for its price but then i've heard from many tht the sound quality and music playback aint tht good...also the screen is 65k..

I guess i'll finally go for z550...only thing tht i wanna know is tht is its sound quality as good as the w300 or other walkman phones? Also, does it come with the same ear phones as the w series...?? If not, can i use a w series ear phone with it..? Is the speaker for ring tone of good quality? And lastly, some of my friends tell me tht the fm reception quality isnt very good..Is it true??

U dont get same earphones... W series has much better accessories...

Just compare it and make a decision... makes sense to Buy a W300i if ur budget is 8.5K..
 
Okay guys..thrs been a little change..seems i'm not getting wot i'm looking for in 8k..so i've somehow managed to increase it to 10k..i guess now the equation changes a lil bit :ohyeah: ....wot new options do i have in this price range?? My priorities still remain the same..a good mp3 player,fm, a good screen, a good cam(now tht i'm paying more for it..) and above all..VERY GOOD LOUD SPEAKERS FOR MY RINGTONES.......so wot do we hav??:)
 
You'll get the K750i around 10k will give you everything except really loud speakers ... in which case the W550i will serve you better

Nokia 6131 fits ur budget .... and will spare u some bucks for a higher capacity card...

Another option .. Nokia 6233 or a SE W700i - both for 10.8K (indiaplaza.in)
Or get a Sony Z550i + accessories + 1 GB Card = almost 10K
 
I too had the k750i in mind..but then the speaker sound is too low..and tht basically is my biggest priority..i need loud speakers..i have a habit of frequently missing my calls becos of low ringtones..

The w300i has a bad screen and the cam sucks too..so i'm skipping it..

ARE YOU SURE??? :O :O Can i get the 6233 or the w700i for the same price here in mumbai?? If so, i'll choose one among these 2... actually u guys must think i'm crazy but i have somehow again managed to amass a little bit more for my new cellphone..so my budget goes up to 12k now...but thts it...not a penny more..i'm postponing my additional 1gb ddr2 ram for my pc for the time being..;)

But if i can get the w700i or the 6233 within this price, i'll be more than happy to save some...

So talking about these 2 phones, which one according to u guys has better speakers, screen and cam quality...

also though i know what to expect from the bundle coming with w700i, i dont know about the 6233...does it come with data cable, mem card and good headphones??

Finally, if there are anymore suggestions in this price bracket(12k), pls let me know...:)

Prior to buy K750i I also under impression that K750i have low ring tone volume, but if you can manage to download OR load MP3 with High Volume and make them as your Ring tone - no more call miss.:)
