Need a good voice recorder

I tried using my phone & voice recording apps but it only records sound near the phone clearly, i want a recorder that can record everything in a large room .

Also dont want to spend too much money .

I don't know how big a room you are talking about, but in my case in a room of 12' x 12' I am able to clearly record the spoken voices (at normal level) in the opposite corner w/o use of extended mic.

Check if Sony's ICD-UX533 or SONY ICD-PX533 meets your requirement. Available in Sony showrooms at a price range of 5800 to 6500/-

There are also good Olympus ones available but then they are too expensive. The ones I checked were above 10K.

Sorry for ambiguity in my reply. Actually I use Sony's UX533.

I hope PX440 meets your requirement.
